Description

The in-situ determination of the environmental dose rate by portable semiconductor gamma spectrometer is discussed. The high purity Ge-detector available for in-situ measurements was calibrated. The energy and direction dependence of the sensitivity of the detector was taken into account. A computer code was developed for data transfer for automatic evaluation of the environmental spectra. The measurements were performed in the vicinity of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant with the participation in international intercomparision. The results were compared to the data of previous measurements. (author)
