Description
Large diameter isolation gate valves for nuclear facilities are subject to very exacting requirements which cannot be satisfied by known conventional designs. These requirements relate to the basic material, the sealings, the material of the bearings, the actuation possibilities and the opening and closing times. (orig.)

An Absperrschieber grosser Nennweite fuer kerntechnische Anlagen werden sehr hohe Anforderungen gestellt, die mit bekannten und herkoemmlichen Konstruktionen nicht zu erfuellen sind. Es treten Beanspruchungen auf, die sowohl in der Grundwerkstoffauswahl als auch im Dichtwerkstoff, im Lagerwerkstoff, in der Antriebsmoeglichkeit, in den Oeffnungs- und Schliesszeiten aussergewoehnlich sind.
