Character of the electrostatic Bernstein dispersion relation for oblique propagation

It is presented an analysis of the ν vs k roots of the electrostatic dispersion relation for Bernstein waves which propagate obliquely with respect to the external magnetic field. It is the aim of this note to analyse the behaviour of Bernstein waves as a function of the angle with the magnetic field. (author)
