Description

Intradiffusion kinetics of plutonium hexanitrate complex exchange and plutonium (4) desorption on an anionite VP-1AP depending on the dose and conditions of irradiation (in vacuo, water, and HCl) has been studied. Anionite VP-1AP, which is a microporous copolymer of 2.5-vinylpyridine and divinylbenzene, has been γ-irradiated by 60Co; the radiation doses have been 2x108-1x109 rad. The rate of the exchange between the ion [Pu(NO3)6]2- and Vp-1AP depends insignificantly on the dose and conditions of irradiation. Diffusion plays a determining role in sorption kinetics of this ion. High rates of the [Pu(NO3)6]2- ion sorption and Pu(4) desorption on the initial and irradiated VP-1AP have been explained on the basis of the chemical structure of VP-1AP
