PHT equipment and support systems

This paper is a summary of the discussion on Primary heat Transport Equipment (PHT) and Support Systems in CANDU reactors, during the break-out session of this conference. The issues identified were pipe hangers and supports, fatigue monitoring and inspection in general, PHT leak rate calculation, PHT tank inspections and pump motors. The next steps to be taken are common approach for identifying inspection data to be collected for long-term perspective, leak rate calculation methodology for small leaks, tank inspection robotics and common industry approach to pump motor inspection/overhauls
