Contamination of the environment. Which are the new knowledge on radioactivity transfers?
Creators
Description
This article notably comments the Amorad programme which aims at developing a better knowledge of the ways radionuclides are transferred to the environment (forest, river, ocean). This programme comprised the improvement of models of prediction of dispersion and of assessment of the impact of radionuclides on the environment. Models have notably been developed for complex food chains. Various software can be used to assess the impact of a nuclear accident on the environment by using models of radioactivity transport and transfer in the fishing sector or in the agriculture. A brief interview of an ASN representative is provided
