Description
The excitation function for the production of 24Na from (35/100)MeV proton irradiations of 27Al has been experimentally determined in the external beam of the McGill University synchrocyclotron. The experimental results, together with those of several other authors, are discussed. The conclusion is reached that a reaction mechanism possibly involving emission of 3He is not likely to occur
