A two-dimensional neutron spin modulation technique for inelastic and elastic neutron scattering
Creators
Description
Based on the independent modulation of the neutron spin evolution of both incoming and scattered neutrons, a two-dimensional data set of intensities of initial versus scattered neutron wavelengths can be obtained, that yields the scattering function S(K, ω) after a two-dimensional Fourier transform. Such an experiment uses a polarized neutron beam and two independent spin precession coils
