Nitrogen transfer in austenitic sodium heat transport systems
Creators
- 1. Westinghouse Electric Corp., Madison, PA (USA). Advanced Reactors Div.
Description
Nitrogen transfer data, obtained using the Interstitial Transfer Facility (ITF) at the Westinghouse Advanced Reactors Division, are correlated with data from other sources to produce a design curve relating nitrogen equilibrium values with temperature. The correlations derived are for the unstabilized austenitic stainless steels, types 316 and 304 and are considered valid for all austenitic sodium heat transfer systems. (orig./IHOE)
