Prospective energy study for the Lille metropolitan area

Description

The aim of this forward-looking energy study is to inform political decision-makers, and all local stakeholders, about the current energy situation, and to help them set an ambitious yet realistic course for the years ahead. The chosen timeframe is 2030, and corresponds to the horizons of the metropolis' political development project, supported by the territorial coherence scheme (SCOT). Starting with an inventory of current energy demand and supply, this study proposes a projection to 2030, based on 2 scenarios of changing needs. This estimate, supplemented by an assessment of the potential for renewable energy production, will enable to better appreciate the levers and objectives in terms of energy efficiency, sobriety and the mobilization of local energy resources
