Design of high precision TDC measurement system based on network readout

Description

In this paper, a network readout system for the multi-channel time measurement system is designed. The system realizes the logic design of the key protocol of 1 Gigabit Ethernet TCP server based on FPGA, which is used for high-speed transmission of system time measurement data, can be compared with the current T0F time measurement readout electronics system. Through the performance analysis and network transmission test of the time measurement system, the experimental results show that the RMS resolution of single-channel is better than 22 ps, and the transmission performance of 1 Gigabit Ethernet TCP logic design can up to 600 Mbps.
