Hot band effect of the vibrational transition lines in a tunable TEA CO2 laser

Description

Energies of the rotational-vibrational transition lines are studied in a turnable TEA CO2 laser which consists of three cavity mirrors by the use of the grating-output-reflector configuration. In this system, the energy of the 10.6 μm P-20 line is more enchanced by about 5 percent than other transition lines. This effect is attributed to the pressure broadening of the hot band R-23 ((0,11,1)-(1,11,0)) transition in 10.6 μm P-20 line. The experimental values are absorbed to agree with the theoretical results. (Author)
