Thermal emission spectra of SrCl molecule

  • 1. National Physical Lab., New Delhi (India). Spectroscopy Section

Description

The electronic spectrum of SrCl molecule in thermal emission has been investigated for the first time. New band heads mostly involving higher vibrational quanta have been identified in C-X and D-X systems in the spectral range 4230-3670 and 3590-3200 A respectively. The vibrational isotopic shifts due to Sr 35Cl and Sr 37Cl and modified vibrational constants have been discussed. (author)
