Sub-Barrier fusion reactions leading to the compound nucleus 96Ru
- 1. Tata Inst. of Fundamental Research, Bombay (India)
Description
While there are several systems where the fusion cross-sections have been measured, there are only a few cases where simultaneous measurement of fusion cross-sections and angular momentum distributions exist. The systems studied, where the same compound nucleus is obtained by different target projectile combinations, are even fewer. With the above background the measurements of fusion cross-sections and average angular momenta for the systems 28Si + 68Zn, 32S + 64Ni, 37Cl + 59Co and 45Sc + 51V, all leading to the same composite system were made.
