Thermomechanical phenomena in extended thermodynamics of an Ideal Monoatomic Superfluid

  • 1. Dipt. di Matematica ed Applicazioni, Univ. of Palermo (Italy)

Description

In this work it is shown that the thermomechanical phenomena, that are typical of liquid helium II, can be explained within the frame of the Extended Thermodynamics of an Ideal Monoatomic Superfluid, which has been formulated in a previous paper. The expression of equilibrium chemical potential in this theory is derived. The fountain effect is explained. A boundary condition is also introduced, in order to allow the modeling of a superleak
