31P NMR spectroscopy of complexes in the extraction system di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid-zirconium-strontium-nitric acid-water-decane
Description
31P NMR has been used to study complex formation in extracts containing free di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid and di-2-ethylhexylphosphate complexes of zirconium and strontium in the presence of water and nitric acid. The composition of the complexes has been established and it has been shown that the presence of nitric acid in the organic phase displaces the organophosphorus ligands from the solvate shell of the zirconium complexes
