Description

Propagation of linear and nonlinear solitary electron acoustic radiation in an unmagnetized collisionless plasma is studied. The standard normal-mode analysis is used to study the stability condition of linear electron acoustic radiation. For nonlinear electron acoustic radiation, a reductive perturbation method were employed to obtain a modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation. The effect of electrons temperature on the amplitude and width of the solitary wave is also discussed
