The treatment by pyrolysis technique for the solvent waste from fuel reprocessing plant
Description
An engineering scale test using the pyrolysis technique was performed for solvent waste from a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. The test included a parameter surveillance, continuous operation, and activity balance test. Continuous operation (100 hrs) under the proper operating conditions obtained from the parameter surveillance test showed good stable operability performance. In the activity balance test, decontamination factors in the pyrolysis reactor, inclusive of the candle-filters, were evaluated for Ru, Cs, Ce, and I. (author)
