Filling dating of the Caune de l'Arago by the 230Th/234U method and contribution to the methodology
Description
This research thesis addresses dating issues regarding an ancient settlement location (Caune de l'Arago), and the use of some specific techniques on order to obtain more precise assessments than those previously published. Thus, the author first presents the dating method: generalities, background theory of the 230Th/234U method, problems related to chemical processing of samples, the chemical processing itself. In the second part, the author reports the study dating performed on the Caune de l'Arago site: site description, dating of stalagmite floors, result discussion
