Bosonic construction of an N=2 extended superconformal theory in two dimensions
Description
Vertex operators based on integral lattices with points of squared length 1 or 2 have previously been used to construct fermionic quantities or Kac-Moody generators, respectively. Here a vertex operator is used based on points of squared length 3 to obtain superalgebra generators. It is thus possible to construct an N=2 superconformal algebra in terms of a single free bosonic field. Highest weight representations of the corresponding Virasoro algebra are constructed and are seen to be consistent with the known highest weights of an N=1 subalgebra. (orig.)
