A brief introduction to a global biodosimetry laboratories network for radiation emergencies (BioDoseNet)
Description
A global biodosimetry Laboratories Network for Radiation Emergencies (BioDoseNet) will be established and envisioned to enable dose assessment using multiple methods. In this paper, the roles and resources available from WHO, IAEA and International Standards Organization (ISO) that provide international cooperation in biological dosimetry after radiological emergencies were reviewed. The general scope and concept of the Bio-DoseNet development and the actions that will be taken by WHO were introduced. (authors)
