Comparison of biventricular ejection fraction (EF) by 64-slice MDCT with those by gated SPECT (QGS), radionuclide ventriculography (CPS) and invasive contrast ventriculography (LVG)

  • 1. Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital, Kofu, Yamanashi (Japan)

Description

Biventricular EF by 64-slice multi detector row CT (MDCT) was compared with those by Quantitative Gated SPECT (QGS), CPS and LVG in 36 patients. Left ventricular EF by MDCT was in good accordance with those by QGS (r=0.83), CPS (r=0.90) and LVG (r=0.85). There was also a correlation in right ventricular EF values obtained with MDCT and CPS (r=0.54). These results indicate that biventricular EF by MDCT will be feasible like other technology. (author)
