Description
A performance criterion for in vivo lead measurement systems is described. This criterion is based on the XR-100T-CZT detector and an excitation source of Tc-99m with the energy emission of gamma ray at 140.5 keV (half-life of 6.02 hours) and the activity of 40.3 mCi. The results showed that the limit of this detection for system is 100 ppm. The average mean of difference between blank and a 100 ppm lead solution yield a small value of 1.049%, which was insufficient enough to produce a good linear concentration graph in order to measure lead in teeth which is expected to be lower than 20 ppm.
