The trigger and data acquisition system of the KLOE experiment

Description
Due to the high peak luminosity of the DAΦNE accelerator (1033 cm-2 s-1) event and data rates at KLOE are higher than in any other e+e- collider experiment. The developed 2 level trigger achieves an efficiency larger than 99% for all events relevant to investigate CP violation. The data acquisition system can handle data rates of 50 Mbytes/s using custom designed bus systems and high performance networking techniques. (orig.)
