Increase of the plasma electron density in a discharge with properly shaped cathodes

  • 1. Nancy-1 Univ., 54 (France). Lab. de Physique des Milieux Ionises

Description

The possibility of increasing plasma electron density by modification of the shape of the cathode surface in a reflex discharge is investigated. It is shown that a density increase greater than 2.3 compared to that obtained with conventional cathodes can be achieved. (author)
