Description
This paper is concerned with the mathematical representation of the isothermal mechanical behaviour of elastic-plastic materials which have the property that their purely elastic behaviour admits a work potential. This potential is expressed in terms of the elastic (recoverable) part of the principal stretches. The constitutive relations have been derived through which the different components of the elastic moduli have been calculated for a paticular solid whose uniaxial stress-strain curve is described by a Ramberg-Osgood type relation.
