Extraction kinetics of transplutonium elements and rare earths in the system of hdehp-diluent-carboxylic aicd-dtpa
Description
It has been established experimentally for the system di-2-ethyl-hexylphosphoric acid (D2EPHA) - diethylbenzene-carboxylic acid - diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) that the rate of extraction (reextraction) of transplutonium elements (TPE) and rare earth elements (REE) depends on the process parameters in the following manner: it decreases with an increase in the solution pH values, DTPA concentration and the atomic number of the element to be distributed in the REL and TPE series; it increases as stirring becomes more vigorous and with the solution temperature increase. The extraction of europium has been studied most thoroughly. It is shown that the kinetics of mass exchange under conditions considered is limited by the processes occurring at the phase boundary
