On the attenuation of acoustic modes near the phase transition point in a ferroelectric of the gadolinium molybdate type
Description
The temperature anomalies of the complex elastic modulus have been investigated in the improper ferroelectric gadolinium molybdate. The actual symmetry of the crystal has been evaluated, expressions have been obtained for the attenuation coefficient of various sound waves propagating along special directions in the crystal
