Study on the 77Se(n,α)74Ge and 145Nd(N,α)142Ce reactions on resonance neutrons
Description
The first data on total α-widths for the 77Se produced in the 77Se(n, α)74Ge reaction on resonance neutrons is obtained. For the first time α-widths for three resonances at 290, 864 and 1265 eV neutron energies have been measured. New α-widths have been measured and the calibration of 145Nd has been made more precise. The average values of experimental α-widths (=7.8+-5.8 μeV for 77Se and =0.32+-0.19 μeV for 145Nd) for two isotopes agree satisfactorily with those calculated by the cluster model (GITAsub(α)=3.8+-0.8 μeV for 77Se and GITAsub(α)=0.29+-0.03 μeV for 145Nd). The measurements were performed on the LNP IBR-30 reactor operating as a buster with the electron linear accelerator. The neutron spectrometry was carried out by the time-of-flight method
