Information about influence of the Mochovce NPP on the environment, August 2008

Description

In this paper results of monitoring of chemical gaseous and liquid effluents into the rivers Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce NPP Units 1 and 2 are presented. The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within August 2008 were: 0.16 MBq of aerosols, 0.015 MBq of of iodine-131, and 104 GBq of rare gases. For the period January - August 2008 these radioactive effluents into recipient of Hron River represented 5.33 MBq (0.0031% of annually limit (AL)) of aero-soles; 0.135 MBq (0.00020% of AL) of iodine-131 and 1024 GBq (0.025% of AL) of rare gases. The radioactive effluents into Hron River recipient within August 2008 were: 464 GBq of tritium and 0.97 MBq of corrosive and fission products. For the period January - August 2008 these radioactive effluents into Vah River recipient represented 6,524 GBq (54.4% of AL) of tritium, and 0.97 MBq (0.86% of AL) of corrosive and fission products. Dose equivalents rate for the villages in surroundings of the Mochovce NPP in August 28, 2008 are published. Chemical effluents are also reported
