Photostimulated exoelectron emission from metals after cold-working
Description
The dependence of the initial intensity I of photostimulated exoelectron emission from metals (Al, Zn, Cu, Cd) upon the strain lambda caused by the cold-rolling has been investigated. Results of these investigations represented as the dependence I/lambdasup(1/2)-f(lambda) are fairly well fitted by a straight line with the equation I/lambdasup(11/2)=A+Blambda(A and B are constants). On the basis of this dependence it was possible to distinguish the effect of dislocations and the effect of vacancies, generated during plastic deformation, on the intensity of exoelectron emission from metals.
