Fission dynamics study of heavy and super-heavy nuclei through neutron multiplicity and mass distribution measurements
Description
In this talk I will be presenting the results of the first few measurements with the National Array of Neutron Detectors (NAND) facility installed at Inter University Accelerator Center (IUAC), New Delhi. Binary fragmentation of the near super-heavy compound nucleus 256Rf has been studied through the reaction 48Ti + 208Pb at a bombarding energy well above the Coulomb barrier. For a better understanding of its reaction dynamics, the mass distribution, mass-energy distribution and mass-angle distribution of the fission fragments produced from 256Rf have been investigated thoroughly
