Thoracic X-ray radiography with a large-size image intensifier
Description
A new system is explained for chest radiography, equipped with a 57 cm image intensifier and a 100 mm camera. Contrast and detail resolution are comparable with thorax images taken on a large-format film, but the radiation exposure is reduced by more than the factor 7. The system is convenient in practice and has met with full acceptance on the part of patients, medical technicians, and radiology personnel, except for just a few reservations. (orig.)

In diesem Beitrag wird ein neues System fuer die Thoraxaufnahme unter Verwendung eines 57-cm-Bildverstaerkers in Verbindung mit einer 100-mm-Kamera beschrieben. Kontrast und Detailaufloesung sind vergleichbar mit Thoraxaufnahmen auf grossformatigem Film, wobei eine Dosiseinsparung von mehr als dem Faktor 7 erreicht wurde. Das Geraet war problemlos in der Anwendung und wurde von den Patienten, Technikern und dem roentgenologischen Personal bis auf wenige Vorbehalte sehr gut angenommen. (orig.)Additional details
