Description
The results of a study performed by the Energy and Environment Committee of the Dept. of Agriculture in Sweden are presented. The health and environmental effects during routine operation of hydroelectric power, coal-firing, oil-firing, natural gas and nuclear power are discussed in turn. The risk of major accidents for all these energy sources is considered in one section, while the final section discusses briefly these aspects of alternative energy sources. (JIW)
