A precision measurement of the z degrees partial decay width into τ + τ
Creators
Description
The ability of LEP machine to scan different energy points around the Z0-peak with a precisely measured center of mass energy allows a precision measurement of the decay width of the Z0 into leptonic and hadronic decay channels. In this talk, an improved measurement of the decay width of the Z degrees into τ+ τ- final states from the cross section measurements at three different energy points is presented. The three leptonic and the hadronic lineshape measurements combined allow the determination of various electroweak parameters and a precision test of the standard model of electroweak interactions
