Description

Qianjiadian uranium deposit occurs in the sediment s of braided river system in Yaojia formation of Upper Cretaceous in Kailu basin. Researches on mineralization features, metallogenic geology and genesis found that the deposit falls into interlayer oxidazed sandstone type. The deposit was formed with richful uranium source, suitable hydrologic condition, monocline strata gently tilted westward, deeply penetrated fault and well developed sandbody of braided river faces. Due to the high content reductant in Yaojia formation, local geochemical barrier was formed to foster uranium mineralization. Aquifer of mudstone-sandtone-mudstone combination and reductant environment caused by oil-gas play an positive role to the formation and reservation of uranium mineralization. Recent discovery in the north and centre part of Qianjiadian depression has greatly increased the exploration potential in this area. (author)
