Description

Hydrogen solubility in Nb-Rh alloys, containing 32, 25 and 12 at.%, is investigated at 325 deg C and hydrogen pressure up to 70 kbar. X-ray investigation of synthesized phases crystalline structure is carried out, values of superconducting transition temperature Tc are determined at T ≥ 0.35 K. It is shown, that alloys with 35 at.% Rh (σ-phase type structure) and with 25 at.% Rh (β-W type structure) retain their crystalline structure and remain superconducting ones at hydrogen saturation up to H/Me ∼ 1.4 and ∼ 1.5, respectively. Presence of metal fetlattice - base solid solutions with H/Me from ∼ 1.7 up to 2 and Tc values, respectively, from ∼ 0.75 up to ∼ 0.9 K is detected within Nb88Rh12-H system. Formation of superconducting dihydrides within Me-H systems was not observed earlier
