Autowave model of the Portevin-Le Chatellier effect

Description
The autowave model of the Portevin-Le Chatellier effect is proposed. Periodical solutions of plastic strain rate and stress are obtained. Dependence of vibration period on temperature and strain rate is found. The results are in agreement with the experiments
