Description

The erection of the pilot plant at Mol for producing waste capable of being stored (PAMELA) at the EUROCHEMIC reprocessing plant site at Mol in Belgium was completed in 1984. After a year of cold test operation with simulated waste solution, the plant was set to work hot on October 1, 1985. There is a report on experience gained in the vitrification of highly radioactive waste solution. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Die Errichtung der Pilotanlage Mol zur Erzeugung lagerfaehiger Abfaelle (PAMELA) auf dem Gelaende der Wiederaufarbeitungsanlage EUROCHEMIC in Mol/Belgien wurde im Jahre 1984 abgeschlossen. Nach einem Jahr kalten Probebetriebs mit simulierter Abfalloesung wurde die Anlage am 1. Oktober 1985 heiss in Betrieb genommen. Ueber die bei der Verglasung von hochradioaktiver Abfalloesung gewonnenen Erfahrungen wird hier berichtet. (orig.)
