Description
Currently TC-ISSF have stored 245 elements consisting of 208 fuel elements and 37 elements control rods. The cooling system and water purification have function to move the heat generated from the spent fuel and maintain the water chemical and content of radioactive substances that are dissolved in water at the permitted limit. The pool water temperature is maintained at around below 30 °C by means of circulating the pool water through a heat exchanger unit (primary and secondary). Factors that affect temperature measurements include system performance chiller, heat exchanger system and the water temperature as the primary coolant. The results of measurements of average temperature of the pool temperature T (in) = 26,6 °C, T of HE secondary = 15,7 °C, T of water chiller = 11 °C, and Tout of primary system = 22,7 °C. The difference (∆T) temperature of the pool water entered the cooling system and the temperature of the pool water out of the cooling system (∆ T in and out degrees Celsius) in February until September 2015 approximately 2 °C - caused 3 °C because the temperature of the water as a second my cooling chiller that cools the primary water temperature is still high (11 °C - 13 °C). This is due to the performance of the chiller is less than optimal. After repairing chiller system, the temperature of chiller water is around 9 °C, then the system performance of cooling system becomes more optimal so the decrease of pool water temperature (∆T) in and out approximately 4,8 °C - 5,9 °C.
