This paper outlines five procedures used to evaluate oxygen transfer under process conditions. Steady and non-steady state analyses, radioactive and nonradioactive tracer techniques, and off gas methods are evaluated in side by side comparisons at six municipal and industrial waste water treatment plants employing both diffused and mechanical aeration
