Description
This paper discusses the status of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) High-Level Waste (HLW) Repository Licensing Program. NRC is responsible for licensing and regulatory decisions on the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) geologic repository to dispose of the Nation's HLW. Presently, NRC and DOE are holding informal pre-licensing consultations. (author) 6 refs
