Description
We have assessed left ventricular function simultaneously with 99mTc-MIBI myocardial perfusion imaging using gated acquisition in 30 patients. 99mTc-MIBI gated imaging could define myocardial edge clearly during the cardiac cycle. For the qualification of ventricular wall motions, the agreement between gated 9'9mTc-MIBI and blood pool imaging was 68% segments. The left ventricular contractile fraction (LVCF) was calculated from the number of pixels representing ventricular cavity area. LVCF significantly correlated with LVEF (r= 0.90, P < 0.01). Reproducibility was good. We conclude that gated 99mTc-MIBI imaging can evaluate cardiac function simultaneously with displaying myocardial perfusion, and LVCF is a reliable cardiac function parameter
