Electronic properties of cadmium doped Pbsub(1-x)Snsub(x)Te solid solutions

Description
EPR spectra, temperature dependencies of electroconductivity, relative value of dielectric losses and relaxation time after temperature adiabatic variation in the range from 1.5 to 200 K of Pbsub(0.76)Snsub(0.24)Te monocrystals are investigated. The results testify to the fact that cadmium addition atoms localized in tellurium vacancies promote electron trap formation in the conduction band with the lifetime exceeding that of electrons in the same region and spin relaxation time. The suggested model satisfactorily explains all effects observed in this system
