The use of waves at the lower hybrid frequency is one of heating scheme studied in order to reach the ignition temperature in Tokamak configurations. We consider here the theoretical features and the experimental results obtained with this method and also the possibilities it offers in the field of current generation

Abstract (French)

L'utilisation d'ondes a la frequence hybride inferieure constitue un des moyens de chauffage du plasma etudies en vue d'atteindre la temperature d'ignition dans les configurations du type Tokamak. Nous considerons ici les aspects theoriques et les resultats experimentaux obtenus avec cette methode et egalement les possibilites qu'elle apporte dans le domaine de la generation de courant
