Today: environment and energy
Description
On the basis of fundamental data of power economy, the pamphlet deals with: a) the pollutant load of the atmosphere, the surface waters and the ground water in agglomeration regions of the FRG caused by energy production and consumption, b) the thermal load of the surface waters due to increased energy consumption, and c) the thermal load of the atmosphere and its climatic effects. The paper sketches: 1) new energy sources and alternative technologies, 2) the correlation between economy, energy, and environmental protection and 3) alternatives to the present form of energy consumption and utilization which have no harmful environmental effects. The annex contains two contributions from acts on protection against nuisances. (GG/AK)
Abstract (German)
Ausgehend von energiewirtschaftlichen Grunddaten werden: a) die Schadstoffbelastungen der Atmosphaere, der Oberflaechengewaesser und des Grundwassers in Verdichtungsraeumen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland durch Energie-Erzeugung und -Verbrauch, b) die Waermebelastung der Oberflaechengewaesser bei vermehrtem Enegieverbrauch und c) die Waermebelastung der Atmosphaere sowie die daraus resultierende Beeintraechtigung des Klimas behandelt. Skizziert werden: 1) neue Energiequellen und alternative Technologien, 2) die Wechselwirkung von Wirtschaft, Energie und Umweltschutz und 3) umweltfreundliche Alternativen zur gegenwaertigen Form des Energieverbrauches und der Energienutzung. Beigefuegt sind 2 Auszuege aus Immissionsschutzgesetzen. (GG)Additional details
