Investigation of high temperature ductility in Ni-Mn-Mo low carbon steel

Description

Results of studying mechanical properties of steam generator steel in the 20...1150 deg C temperature range are presented. It is established that in the 950...800 deg C temperature range, a decrease of steel plasticity takes place. The extreme position of reduced plasticity depends on the way of achieving test temperature: when heating from room temperature to 800...950 deg C the minimum is shifted by 100 deg C to the range of high temperatures as compared with its location after cooling from 1150 deg C
