The International Symposium on Very High Energy Cosmic Ray Interactions (ISVHECRI 2012) was held on August 10-15, 2012 in Berlin (Germany). This biennial symposium series dates back to 1980. Over the years the programme of the Symposium has extended and developed and is focused on the physics of ultra-high energy hadronic interactions. It provides an optimal platform for the discussion between cosmic ray physicists and physicists involved with high energy accelerators and colliding beams facilities, in particular the LHC at CERN. The following topics were covered: Recent accelerator data and results; Hadronic cross sections; Multiparticle production; Hadronic-interaction models; Extensive air showers; High-energy cosmic-ray data; Exotic phenomena; Muon and neutrino fluxes.
