Description
The Construction of the first Philippine Nuclear Power Plant (PNPP-1) in 1977 laid down the need for local technical and skilled manpower to meet the stringent quality requirements of nuclear power technology. With a technical assistance grant from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Training Center was established. Presented in this paper are the goals, organization and structure of the QA/QC Training Center, its plans and programs and its accomplishments in the first year of existence. The present plan of program is also presented to include industries that will serve the needs of the PNPP-1 and those engaged in export. (ELC)
