Description

This study has been carried out to evaluate and compare the influence of (1/10 LD50) cyolane, cytrolane and curacron on male rats sex hormone (testosterone) and certain haematological parameters after daily oral administration for 4 weeks followed by 4 weeks withdrawal period. The data obtained revealed significant decrease in erythrocytic counts, haemoglobin concentration and in haematocrit value, withdrawal data showed no recovery in erythrocytic counts in cyolane treated group. In cytrolane and curacron treated groups, haemoglobin and haematocrit values were more or less recovered. All the used organophosphorus pesticides induced an increase in leucocyte counts which were higher than control even after withdrawal period. Testosterone was significantly decreased with no recovery tendency
